This meeting is a meeting of the Governing Board in public for the purpose of conducting the Career Center's business and is not to be considered a public community meeting.  There will be time for public participation as indicated by a specified agenda item.
 
Mission Statement:  Central Nine exists to engage and empower students by providing career-based instruction in an innovative learning environment.  We make an IMPACT on our students' personal and professional SKILLS, which enables them to succeed in post-secondary and career opportunities.

5. Director's Comments and Items of Information

-Aviation operations program is investigating going back to Vincennes as the postsecondary partner and adding 15 hours of flight in a second year

-Friday a small group from C9 will be visiting Area 31 career center to investigate their early college program ad determine our direction to maximize our college credit offerings

-C9 is preparing, planning, and implementing the Perkins Five required comprehensive local needs assessment (CLNA) due at the end of January.  January 14th a diverse group of stakeholders including two board members will work together for a couple of hours in LGI to finalize the CLNA.


5.1 Superintendent Meeting Notes

-The five year proposed calendar outlook for school breaks and start and end times will continue to be shared and updated each year.

-As of now the partnering schools all agree to continue to have viewing rights to INTERS (our state reporting tool) and allow C9 to be the sole reporter and uploader of CTE data and enrollment to the state.  It is part of C9 continuing its full service partnership with the nine high schools.  Schools will have viewing but nor editing rights.  Maintain one cook in the kitchen.

-Mentioned that Performance Services is scheduling time to interview our C9 staff regarding the facilities study.

-Finalizing plans with the Cummins group to improve our IT programming for next school year.  We should be presenting our plans to the board January or February.
